Blue Hydrangea Tea Party 2009 Underway!
Well, we have welcomed the new year and already we have our first tea party registration for 2009…..That is good news, since everyone is cautious about the economy. It is my hope that even in these difficult days, we can find a way to continue to move forward with our fundraising tea parties for ovarian cancer awareness. I know that all of you can get rather creative with your events, so I’m sure you will amaze me again this year, despite the bad news we are hearing about our economic future.
I hope you will join me in fostering a renewed sense of community among ovarian cancer survivors and their families and friends. It is an opportunity for us all to embrace the spirit of Blue Hydrangea Tea Party, even if we can’t devote as much financial support to the cause. Please do not be discouraged from participating, because of the fear of small donations or hosting costs….I have always said that you can be as casual or as elaborate as you wish! You might even share the burden of the hostess’ duties and costs by coming together “potluck” style!
